  16. OK, I'm sure everyone's sick of this resolution issue
  17. already, but there is one issue that seems to need 
  18. clarification: is high resolution worthwhile? The answer
  19. is yes, contrary to what has been implied in various posts
  20. up to now.

  22. If your image has even a moderate amount of fine detail
  23. in it, you will definitely see the difference if you
  24. output on to a slide at 2kx3k compared to the lower numbers
  25. people were talking about. If you've spent hours sweating
  26. to get your models and their texturing *just* right, why 
  27. sacrifice when you go to rpint it out? Upsampling the
  28. image may get rid of the worst artifacts, but it won't
  29. add the detail that's important if you want to make photo-
  30. realistic images.

  32. Working at higher res's can be a pain, I know, and it 
  33. certainly taxes your patience, but it is possible, even with
  34. only 16M. The quality of the finished result is worth it,
  35. and quality is what will set you apart from the rest of
  36. the pack.

  38. And don't let this talk about 'mac users' fool you. The Amiga
  39. is just as capable of handling high res images as any other
  40. computer, although you'll probably need to stick on a
  41. virtual memory system.
